Congress Adjourns Soon: What About Tier 5 Extension, the 99ers, and Job Creation Bills? – Do you wish that there is another and better political party in the United States? Until now, the American Wants to Work Act and the Tier 5 Extension Bill are not being prioritized by both Congress and the US Senate. The big problem is that Republicans are blocking the bill.
Some publications like the Wall Street Journal are justifying the issues and saying that the Democrats are not creating and proposing any real solution to the job problem. They say that what the Dems are doing is try to create more deficit and encourage jobless people to rely on unemployment benefits.
This week, before the Senate adjourns they will consider a bill which aims to discourage U.S. businesses from outsourcing jobs overseas. This bill they say is aim to get Americans hired and lower the unemployment rate which is now at 9.6%.
However, the Democrats headed by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid admits that they don’t have enough votes to defeat a possible attempt by Republicans to block the bill. This is the usual scenario in the US Senate, where Republicans blocks bills that encroaches on businesses. To be honest the Republicans can be said as purely pro-elite and pro-rich, how can electing them be even help solved the unemployment issue which they themselves created.
Better late than never, One Nation Working Together is planning a huge rally at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington on October 2, Saturday to raise the awareness of lawmakers and also ask for the passage of the American Wants to Work Act. The question on that day however is whether the lawmakers are still in session or not. Most probably these lawmakers will avoid the rally and adjourn early. The ultimate weighing scale for the Democrats and the Republicans is the midterm election this November. The choices are quite simple. Do you want a pro-elite Congress? Then if that is the case then vote for the Republicans. Do you want a pro-people and pro-worker Congress? Then simple, elect the Democrats. The issues they stand are clear and straight.
Let us just hope that the worst in the recession is over. Good luck to the rally on October 2.

This Berkeley bill is NOT helping us. As long as it’s on the table doing nothing, it is acually hurting us because companies are NOT going to hire us. They are waiting for this bill to pass WHLE laying off the employees that they dont want anymore like the ones OVER 50 and the ones that became less attractive to the work enviornment!!! They are waiting for this bill to pass so they can get their $2000. either pass it now or take it off the table.
The recession may be over and done for in the rhetorical one-liners of American politicians, but it’s certainly not over for America’s unemployed and especially the 99ers
Our Congress and all the so called experts who think the economy is better and recession is over are on drugs.
Lets see what they think over the 6 montsh to a year
1. As people unemployed over 2 years goes up another 10 million
2. As no where near enough jobs created to lower UI. When we are still over 9% next year they tell us again how recession is over.
3. How foreclosures will increase and home values will not move up much if at all.
4. How poverty levels will increase and people will loose their home and thrown into the salvation army, Armories and civic center buildings
5. How health care costs will go up with this health reform as it is and cause more problems!
6. How another 20,000 or so people are killing themselves with drugs alchohol or a pistol will increase since UI will run out and no jobs. When people lose it all many do tend to not want to live!…….ESPECIALLY THE ONE THAT ARE OVER 50 BECAUSE NOBODIES GOING TO HIRE AN OLD GOAT FACE IT!
The recession is over? We never had one in the first place. Looks like it been a depression for most Americans, and from what I understand there may even be a civil WAR on our hands if congress doenst STOP taking so many recesses and do something about this
When will the BS stop from Congress and they actually put Americans first. Stop telling us lies all the time.
The more the Senate hears about The American 99ers Union, the more they will realize that they may lose the upcoming election if they don’t do something for us before then.
There is NOW a new FAD which factors in to the equation, A survey by the Institute for Policy Studies found that CEO’s at the companies that laid off the most workers averaged 42% more than the average CEO pay. For them, cutting the workforce to the bone and grinding more production from those that remain is very profitable.
The competition for these companies normally have no choice but to follow suit in order to compete.’99ers have to live with the fact that they may have been laid off simply to increase profit a few more percentage points, and fatten a CEO paycheck at the same time, not necessarily because the company could no longer afford to keep them on the payroll.
Many of these companies offshore jobs as well, further fattening the bottom line for the company at the expense of not only the ‘99er, but the exploited worker in the cheap labor country where the former American job was shipped. While shareholders rejoice,

As things stand today those posing as our representatives in government will admit that 13 million of our American jobs so desperately needed by we 99ers are being worked for substandard wages by 13MILLION illegal’s and another 3 million are being worked at substandard wages by foreigners who have come to our country on work visas.
As for the workers here on foreign visas if you do not see a problem maybe you better look again. On June 23, 2008 before he left CNN, Lou Dobbs reported that Nielson TV Rating Company is bringing in foreign workers from India on work visas to replace the Americans working for their company. AND T-MOBILE THE BIGGEST CELL phone company in the world has OUT-SOURCED 95% OF ITS CORPORATE OFFICE to the PHILIPINES -including customer service and tech support ……BRING THESE JOBS BACK TO AMERICA or TAX the PHILIPINES and that TAX will eventually PAY OFF our NATIONAL DEFICIT……
All we need is the support of 5 (1 in a perfect situation) democratic senators to guarantee the passage of 3706 before the election.
If 3 to 5 democratic senators would refuse to vote for either the continuing resolution or the war funding bill unless the unemployment extension is attached or passed as a stand alone bill the senate would be forced to extend unemployment benefits.
If the continuing resolution is not passed by September 30th the government will be shut down October 1, the Democrats will not let that happen right before an election. The republicans would love to see the government shut down by the majority right before the election which means most republicans will not vote for the continuing resolution. Three democrats refusing to vote for the continuing resolution unless a tier 5 is attached would force the government to shut down if a tier 5 is not passed.
Can we not find 3 democrats willing to help us? We only need 3 or at most 5 democrats to pass a tier 5.
If we can not find 1 democratic senator willing to help us we need to fire all of them along with the republicans

I am a member of the 99ers. I have been un-employed since June 2008. Since this date, I have put in for over 100 jobs, and I have been interviewed for about 20 jobs. I worked for the US Government for almost 20 years and during this time, I paid income taxes every time I was paid. Now that I cannot find a job and I have drawn my 99 weeks, the US Government is telling me that they will not provide me any more weekly benefits, this is not right or fair.
Ths Long-term Extenstion bill needs to be signed and passed this week extending long term benefits for at least 130 weeks, and I beleive that as long as someone who is currently un-employed can show proof that they have actively looked for a job, they should receive weekly benefits until they can get hired.

For your information neither Max Baucus or Harry Reid are repubicans.
Harry Reid is the individual responsible or the fact that there is no tier 5, Harry Reid will not allow for a vote on the American Wants to Work Act and the Tier 5 Extension Bill.
Until Harry Reid of Nevada end his filibuster against 3706 the unemployed will continue to suffer.
If harry reid of nevada will not allow the unemployment extension before the election we will not vote for him.

A Plan For A Real “American Dream Act” Bill & Counter Attack
First bring back our soldiers from this Afghanistan war that is costly and going nowhere. Middle Eastern and Asians love to see us waste money and go broke fighting for freedom when they don’t really want it. This is their main weapon and we keep falling into their trap. Then we need to regroup military troops and military force to invade/overthrow Mexico’s government turning it into a U.S territory.
The new land will be used as an industrial/business commerce zone. U.S citizens will be able to by property and have a dual citizenship between U.S and Mexico. Mexico will keep its current currency and there current government will be demoted to local municipal law enforcement as long as they surrender to the U.S.
The U.S will be in full control of all laws, finances, local law enforcement, military and our “Secondary Army of Illegal Soldiers/Enforcers” in Mexico. The path to dual citizenship will require the illegal immigrants living in the U.S to serve in the U.S Secondary South Boarder Military for teen years… Along with completing the invasion/overthrow of Mexican government to expand U.S lands, business, and revive our economy. For Mexico citizen requesting to come to the U.S temporary worker programs and legal paths to citizenship & residence will be granted to those who qualify.
This action is to liberate Mexico from its corrupt government that is destroying it self and the U.S slowly. It is also a test for them to redeem them selves for us to see, how much heart they have, how patriotic they are, and much they love this country including us, laws in all.

I wish someone would do some investigative reporting on why the senate finance committee is dragging their feet on it. We need names, numbers and testimonies from them on why they are not doing their job.
Everyone on that committee needs to be voted out, letters and phone calls need to be written demanding their resignation. This is obscene torture that they still after two months have it still in committee with absolutely no word on it.
CALL THE COMMITTEE, GET INTERVIEWS, GET NAMES OF WHO YOU TALK TO AND WHAT THEY SAY, TIME TO PUT THESE PEOPLE ON RECORD! THEY ARE PUBLIC FIGURES! DOCUMENT THIS TIME IN HISTORY!
I’m sure this time like all things in life will pass, but it needs to be documented on who the cruel people are. Their political careers need to stop here and they need to get a job at McDonalds as they like to say. Good luck finding one!

Thus, I encourage all Democrats (99r’s included) to insure that your voter registration is up to date; take time to acquire an absentee ballet if you cannot make it to the polls; and most importantly – VOTE!!

I say if congress leaves without passing a tier 5 vote out the democrats and Obama. My argument here is clear… the Dems cannot pass jobs bill because of an utterly conservative Republicans.
If the Dems wanted too they could pass a tier 5.If they fought for it. The public would say Dems are fighting for the people.If Rep didnt pass it, the voters would say why are the Rep fighting against the people of the US.If they both let the subject sit they will both take hits for it.I am sure the tier 5 bill, is the only thing keeping Reid alive in the polls in Nv.The longer he waits the more voters he upsets.This is the most important Bill on the floor.But no ones using it.Stupid is as stupid does.
