US Government Seized Sport Streaming Sites Days Before The Super Bowl

Super Bowl XLV is truly here and everyone is very excited about it. The Cowboys Stadium has already sold out the tickets of the match and thousands of the football fans all over US already went to Arlington and filled the nearby hotels. This season’s match would be between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers.

For those who can’t make it to the venue, they resort to the number of the sport sites which could offer Super Bowl 2011 live stream. However, the quest of finding these sports site would be tougher now when the government just seized ten of the most popular sport streaming sites before the big event. A lot of the viewers are confident that they could find one amidst the seizure.

The government has the right to do such thing though because streaming a copyright event is truly illegal. According to Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara, “The illegal streaming of professional sporting events over the Internet deals a financial body blow to the leagues and broadcasters who are forced to pass their losses off to fans by raising prices for tickets and pay-per-view events.”

The sites were disabled Tuesday, and if you wish to visit the sites now, it has been replaced by a posting notifying visitors that “This domain has been seized by ICE – Homeland Security Investigations.”

Atdhe.net, channelsurfing.net, hq-streams.com, hqstreams.net, firstrow.net, ilemi.com, iilemi.com, iilemii.com, rojadirecta.org and rojadirecta.com are the names of the seized sites.
