Washington State Election Results 2010 – The race for the Senate seat in Washington State is indeed very tight. With 65% of the polls reporting both incumbent Democratic Senator Patty Murray and GOP challenger Dino Rossi are claiming 50% of the votes. Murray however has an edge when it comes to actual vote count. Murray has 722,396 votes against Rossi with 708,391. The Washington State election results however for the Senate is still too close to determine the actual winner.
Sen. Patty Murray had been the Senate’s Assistant Floor Leader and had been a Senator since 1992. Prior to that Murray serves also as a Senator of Washington State since 1985. Her opponent, Dino Rossi is the Vice President, Scott Real Estate Investments and an Apartment Building Owner/Manager from 1983-present.
Every Senate race that involves a Democrat and a Republican is very crucial since the Senate majority of the Democratic party is hanging by a thread. Earlier, President Barack Obama already called Republican leaders to congratulate them on their midterm election victories and to promise to try to find “common ground” with them after a bruising campaign season.

One more things, Do not send Rossi to eastern washington, I do not want him here,, it took over eight years to get into this mess, and folks expected Obama to clean it up in less than 20 months? and also remember it was the republicans that say no to anything that obama tried to pass, good bad or indifference,, and Bohner reminds of John Gotti the telfon Don,, compare and see if he does not,
@Kristen – I will give you that felons in prison still do not have the right to vote and that I misspoke. I did mean that people in jail not only were allowed to vote, but were encouraged and assisted in being able to vote. My point was that an effort put forth by our democrat controlled government to get them voting, while the votes of our military men and women where considered not as important.
As for those that keep saying that the blame for our economy should fall on George W and that republicans are not looking back far enough when they blame Obama – the real root of our problem began with mortgage lending practices started by Carter, he was the one that started the programs of lending money to people who would never be able to pay back those loans. Those programs were cut back under Regan. Regan also by lowering taxes and creating a better environment for businesses proved that the government can make more by taking a little smaller percentage of a much larger pie. Clinton restarted and increased those bad lending practices and the economy appeared to be booming while he was in office, only because everyone was spending money that didn’t really exist. People were making house payments with credit cards and then refinancing their homes to pay off the credit cards. Eventually that had to come crashing down. Bush is to be blamed for not addressing and correcting the problem, but not for creating it.
An interesting project for Obama supporters. Do you remember his “cash for clunkers” program? Trying looking up how many people turned in serviceable, paid for cars to be destroyed, only to find out that they could not afford the payments and higher insurance on their new cars and ended up having them repossessed.
How can we defend Patty Murray? She has stripped out millions from our Federal Tax Dollars for road repair in Washington State……. Patty and Christine work together to grab and steal as much of your money as they can get only to have one mission, and that is to look good to the unemployed……Hello out there, ROAD work, how many pink slips will she hand out when the roads are done? Now you understand, and what a mistake if you voted for her. More of your money just went into the toilet.
At least Rossi will not collect welfare……
I am not alone when I say I am sick of the mess we are in. The voters in WA need to get rid of this government and start over. Clean out the government offices and have private companies running some of these programs. WITHOUT WELFARE FROM THE FEDS. That’s right, this government collects welfare payments in the form of a stimulus…….GET IT?
Willowdancer: I think you need to get a clue. And stop blaming the Republicans. Obama promised to make things better he did not. He made them worse.
Just so you know Dems have had control for 4 years now. Republicans can’t stop anything. Dem have the majority or have you forgotten.
I am growing weary of those who give credit to Obama for “trying to clean up what took 8 years to create”. These problems go back to the Jimmy Carter years…all his doing with starting the sub-prime calamity. Socialist policies lead to socialism, end of story. A free market economy and capitalism; cutting taxes and capital gains, and minimizing government intervention in the private sector will restore faith in our country and pump up our economy. Reagan understood this, as wall did your “favorite” democrat JFK.
I’m praying for Rossi, Murray has been in for 18 years and needs to let someone else have a chance. They can’t be any worse for us. I’m in eastern washington and all the politicians only see us as votes for election time and get swallowed up in the black hole in western washington. Eastern Washington is here to stay and it’d be good for them to realize we make up a large part
Let’s start a fund to fix Patty Murray’s teeth. It is embarrassing to have a Senator who has yellowed and snaggled teeth.
Patty Murray has followed Pelosi/Reid/Obama around like a good puppet. I see from the results Wa citizens have followed her like puppets. I can’t understand how anyone can vote for any part of this administration that is trying to make us The Socialist States of America. Oh and Bush isn’t in office spending our grandchildren’s money so that old dog won’t hunt any more. I thought Washington Citizens were smarter than this but I guess they don’t care about their offspring.
I hate to offend, but Washington State women seem to be quite homely. In fact they just might be the ugliest women in the country. It’s not just a few here and there. I’m talking everywhere you look. As soon as you cross into the state, an outsider notices this at once. Also they are quite rude on top of it. Patty Murray must win, not just because the Dems will throw the vote (which they always attempt to do), but because the ugly electorate see themselves in her. Just as Blacks will always vote Black, and Hispanics will always vote Hispanic, the ugly will always vote for the ugly. How could a state as pretty as Washington have such bed genetics?
obama is the first black African American president, so why is there a riot.
